Atlantis and Blowing are the results of experiments with analog double exposure – an old technique where two motives are exposed on the same frame. Combining two images in today's graphic process is not uncommon, though it is usually done using digital editing programs. Analog double exposure is a completely different way of working, as the process is very difficult to control – there will always be a degree of inaccuracy and randomness in how the two subjects overlap and balance in terms of composition and light. The final images always contain an element of surprise giving the images a life on its own. The surreal and dreamy motives are an attempt to pause human rationality and open for abstraction, imagination and free interpretations.
